Alistair and Laurence's Wedding

We were contacted by Alistair only a couple of weeks ago to arrange the flowers for his wedding yesterday on Saturday 16th April. Alistair and Laurence married in France back in December 2010 and arranged to have a blessing ceremony in All Saint's Church, Tudeley and their reception in the Long Library at The Schools at Somerhill (Alistair is a teacher at Somerhill).

For their wedding in France, Laurence had a bouquet of dark and pale pink Roses and white Lisianthus along with bright green Hypericum berries. She wanted a similar bouquet for the blessing in England and so we created a compact hand tied bouquet of pale pink "Soduku" Roses and dark pink "Sanaa" Roses. They were complimented with "Glorious" dark pink spray Roses and the white double Lisianthus and green Hypericum berries. The bouquet was finished with a foliage collar and a white ribbon handle with pearl pins.

Alistair and Laurence had two bridesmaids who both had wrist corsages of white Lisianthus, "Glorious" dark pink spray Roses and green Hypericum berries. We used bracelets that are easy to put on and to wear. They were finished with a small white ribbon bow to match with the bridal bouquet.

Alistair had a white "Akito" Rose buttonhole with green Hyperium berries and a little foliage. The groomsmen had a single "Akito" Rose with a little foliage and pearl pins to attach.

For the ladies corsages they had the same flowers at the Bridesmaids but their corsages were to be fixed with magnets. Magnets are a great way of attaching corsages without getting pin marks in delicate clothing.

For the blessing at the church, Alistair and Laurence had two pedestal arrangements in dark pink, light pink, green and white. These were then moved to the Long Library at Somerhill where the reception was being held. Unfortunately my camera ran out of battery at this point and so I don't have any pictures of the arrangements either in the church or at the reception!

Best wishes and congratulations to Alistair and Laurence!
