Philippa and David's Wedding

Philippa and David met with us last year and told us straight away how much they loved multicoloured Tulips but had been told by previous florists that they couldn't have them for their wedding as they would "flop". We, on the other hand, said to Philippa and David that they could have Tulips for their wedding and with a bit of expertise the flowers would last perfectly well (and picking up the hire items the next day, the flowers looked just as beautiful!)!

Philippa loved bold multicoloured Tulips and wanted plenty of them everywhere! For her bouquet she carried a hand tied bouquet of five different varieties of Tulip including two tone varieties. The bouquet included small leafed Eucalyptus and the handle was finished with ivory satin ribbon and pearl detailing.

For Philippa's bridesmaids we created smaller versions of her bouquet and finished them with yellow ribbon handles and pearl detailing.

David chose a purple Tulip for his buttonhole and his groomsmen wore a mixture of two tone orange Tulips and yellow Tulips. For the ladies, we created double Tulip corsages with a different coloured Tulip alongside a purple Tulip.

The ceremony was held in Bromley and Philippa and David wanted the decoration focused upon the reception that was at the beautiful Bradbourne House, East Malling.

We dressed the front of the house with two standard Bay trees with lots of multicoloured Tulips in their heads to welcome guests to the venue.

Inside, we placed a tall vase arrangement of Tulips on the hallway table. Philippa and David also loved the scent of Narcissi, and so we added a collar of Paper White Narcissi around the edge of the Tulips. Philippa and David wanted their arrangements to be a little bit different and so we created the designs in birch bark lined vases which looked great against the colour of the flowers!

The Tulip theme featured on the table seating plan too! What a wonderful idea!

The tables in the main room at Bradbourne, were set out in three long lengths as opposed to circular dining tables. The layout worked really well in such a large room and we set out three vase arrangements down the length of each long table. Philippa and David's choice of going with multicolours worked so well against the bold blue of Bradbourne's main room.

The top table featured a long and low arrangement of Tulips and Narcissi with Eucalyptus foliage.

The cake was made by a family member and looked amazing! We added an arrangement of Tulips to the top tier to continue with the floral theme!

We created two thank you bouquets for the Mum's again in multi colours and included a mix of flowers.

We have already had a sneak peak of the professional photographers' pictures and they look great!

We hope David and Philippa had a wonderful day and we wish them many congratulations!
