Samantha and Pete's Wedding

We loved working on the wedding flowers of Samantha and Pete! The flowers, colour combination and style was romantic and seasonal.

Samantha's bridesmaid's dresses were purple and so this formed the basis for a purple, lilac and cream colour scheme. To compliment her dress, Samantha wanted a bouquet with more purple and lilac than her bridesmaids who were to have more cream flowers in their bouquets.

The bridal bouquet was created with lilac Roses, cream Ranunculus, dark purple Lisianthus, lilac Freesia, cream Roses and cream Hypericum berries along with Soft Ruscus, Eucalyptus and Mimosa foliages. We finished the bouquet using lilac satin ribbon and pearl detailing.

Samantha's bridesmaids carried smaller hand tied bouquets using the same flowers as featured in the bridal bouquet. The bouquets were finished with cream satin ribbon handles with pearl detailing.

The bride and her bridesmaids all wore flowers in their hair, small Ornithogalum florets individually wired.

Pete and his groomsmen wore matching buttonholes of a cream Rose with dark purple Lisianthus with complimentary foliage.

The reception was held at one of our favourite venues, The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells. Samantha and Pete chose the contemporary Orangery set with a long top table and round guest tables.

For the top table we created a long and low arrangement of cream and lilac Roses, cream Ranunculus, lilac Stocks, cream Hypericum and dark purple Lisianthus.

The guest tables were adorned with tall flute vase arrangements with country style hand tied bouquets. The bouquets were created with ivory Larkspur, lilac Stocks, cream Roses and cream Hypericum berries with dark purple Lisianthus. All the arrangements were seated upon large circular mirror plates.

We transfered the pedestal arrangements from the church and set them up behind the cake (a cake made from cheeses!) and by the seating plan.

We hope Samantha and Pete had a wonderful day and we wish them every happiness for the future.
