Kate and Stuart's Wedding

We met with Kate and her mother over a few consultations with our final consultation at the wedding venue, Hever Castle. Kate and Stuart married in January and so were able to book the castle itself for both the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. Hever Castle is a stunning venue to host weddings with beautiful buildings and gardens.

Kate wanted romantic, vintage style blooms whilst staying quite traditional to be in keeping with the venue.

Kate knew she wanted a neat teardrop bouquet in cream and blush shades to stay timeless and elegant. We created her bouquet with Avalanche Roses, Vendella Roses, scented Freesia, ivory Calla Lilies and delicate Gypsophila with scented Eucalyptus foliage.

For Kate's bridesmaids we created small hand tied bouquets of cream Avalanche Roses, blush Vendella Roses and vintage pink Amnesia Roses along with Gypsophila and Eucalyptus foliage and finished the bouquets with lace ribbon and pearl pins.

The ceremony was held in the Tudor Suite Sitting Room which we dressed with a traditional long and low arrangement for the registrar's table featuring Avalanche, Vendella and Amnesia Roses, Freesia and Lisianthus with Eucalyptus foliage.

For the drinks reception after the ceremony in the Castle Inner Hall, we arranged a floral arrangement in the medieval warming table featuring Avalanche, Vendella and Amnesia Roses, Gypsophila, Alstroemeria, white Eryngium thistles and Antirrhinums with Eucalyptus foliage.

In the beautiful Castle Dining Room the tables were set out in long trestle style for the wedding breakfast. Kate wanted to keep the feel of the table arrangements romantic and use candle light to add to the ambience of the room. Therefore we used our vintage silver candelabras and filled them with Avalanche, Vendella and Amnesia Roses, Lisianthus, Alstroemeria, Astrantia and white Eryngium thistle with Eucalyptus foliage and placed them on our small mirror plates.

For the speeches Kate and Stuart wanted to hand over two thank you bouquets to the Mum's which we created using the bridal flowers.

The candelabras were then moved by the castle staff to the evening reception held in the Moat Restaurant where the candles were changed over to battery operated pillar candles as the restaurant didn't allow for real candles to be lit.

After the wedding we received a beautiful thank you card from Kate and Stuart

"Dear Sarah,

Thank you so much for the gorgeous flowers. They were stunning! Everyone commented on how gorgeous they were. My bouquet was so beautiful, it was exactly what I had in mind. Thank you for brining my vision to life. It brought the venue alive with floral accents.

Kind regards

Kate and Stuart"

  1. What a beautiful couple! That floral decoration is mind blowing. I am getting married at a Wedding location in Chicago and I would love to hire you for floral decoration. I wonder if you work for destination venues!
