Tonbridge School Wedding

There are times when we never get to meet with the bride and groom we create wedding flowers for. Although this is unusual, there have been a couple of times this has happened for us and the following wedding is one such occasion.

We were contacted by Claire, who lives in Australia, who had loved the floral designs she had seen on our website and wished for us to create her and her partner's ceremony flowers at Tonbridge School chapel. Over a few emails we agreed on the design, the flowers to be included and size and with that our task was set and then we had to wait until the wedding date to create Claire's vision.

It had been so simple to liaise with Claire by email due to the time difference and so we never had to wait for the best time to call or video chat. Claire put all her faith in our creativity and expertise from thousands of miles away!

The day before the wedding we loaded the van and headed to Tonbridge School to create four urn arrangements, two in the main chapel either side of the altar and two outside the doors into the chapel. The flowers chosen were tall white Delphiniums, white Hydrangeas and red Naomi Roses, to tie in with the colour scheme of the wedding and as they were particular favourites of Claire. The chapel is stunningly beautiful and what can only be described as huge, the flowers either side of the altar had to stand out but remain in keeping with the location and the event.

We really enjoyed creating the floral arrangements for Claire's wedding and she clearly loved them too as she emailed us the night before the wedding...

"Hi guys,

Sorry I didn't get to see you today it would have been lovely to meet you but as you can probably tell by the timing of this email that things over ran today!

I just wanted to say though a massive thank you for my flowers. They are exactly what we wanted and look amazing. I can't wait for the guests to see them tomorrow.

All the best,
Claire"
