Lauren and Steve's Wedding

Lauren and Steve's wedding took place on one of the hottest days of the year in the beautiful surroundings of Cooling Castle.

For Lauren, only one variety of flower would be suitable for her wedding, and they were Hydrangeas. Lauren had very fond memories of her grandparent's garden filled with Hydrangeas and so they have a very sentimental value to her. We of course obliged and as you will see, Hydrangeas were everywhere!

For Lauren's bouquet she wanted a hand tied bouquet of ivory Hydrangeas. She chose ivory to tie in with her dress and to be different from all the other floral displays. She wanted it to be a little bit more special and so we added clusters of pearls throughout, which although subtle, were just right to be in keeping with the details on her dress. We finished Lauren's bouquet with a trailing ivory ribbon handle.

For Lauren's bridesmaids who were to wear pale pink dresses, they held small hand tied bouquets of ivory Hydrangea finished with trailing pale pink ribbon.

Lauren's flower girl held a single pink Hydrangea as she was to wear an ivory dress with a pale pink ribbon sash (which can be seen in a full group bouquet photo). As it was such a hot day, we made sure the flowers would stay looking their best by providing vases filled with water for them to stay cool and fresh.

For Steve and his Groomsmen, ivory Rose buttonholes accompanied by Hydrangea florets were created.

The ceremony was held in one of the barns at Cooling Castle, and we kept the decorations very simple, with small clear glass fishbowls on the registrar's table filled with pale pink Hydrangea and swirls of bear grass.

We continued this theme into the reception, where the top table also has small fishbowls of pale pink Hydrangea and swirled bear grass.

The guest tables featured tall conical vases filled with Hydrangeas and a collar of folded Aspidistra all seated upon circular mirror plates.

We managed to see a few photographs from the wedding taken by creative-exposure. I'm sure you will agree what lovely photographs they are and how stunning everyone looks!
